Residential Interior Designer

Training Pay: $20 per hour for 3-4 weeks. ($20 per hour 4-6 weeks) o Post-Training Pay: $26,000 annual salary, paid bi-weekly, plus uncapped commission. • Average Post-Training Pay: $26,000 annual salary, paid bi-weekly, plus commission. • Commission 3.5% of Net Written Design Sales and 2% on entered written sales other than La-Z-Boy Design sales. • Quarterly Bonus: Yes, depends on performance. (Monthly Bonus) • Re-Hire Training Pay: $20 per hour, for 3-4 weeks. La-Z-Boy is seeking a dedicated professional with a background in Interior Design to lead our In-Home Design program. The role involves conducting tailored home consultations, achieving sales targets, providing exceptional customer service, and mentoring store associates. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable about home décor principles, proficient in space planning tools, and brings strong interpersonal skills. 1. In-Home Design: - Conduct professional home consultations with customized design proposals. - Uphold and advocate the In-Home Design process. - Enhance the performance of the In-Home Design Program through grassroots efforts. - Manage client records, orders, and payments. - Keep an updated portfolio of In-Home design projects. 2. Sales and Promotion: - Consistently achieve In-Home program sales targets. - Collaborate with store leadership to drive sales and promote the design program. - Stay updated on product line and capitalize on promotions and grassroots initiatives. 3. Customer Experience: - Uphold unparalleled standards for customer care. - Engage with store customers for a positive experience. - Make decisions to ensure customer satisfaction and team cohesion. 4. People Development: - Train and mentor associates on product knowledge and sales techniques. - Foster a positive work environment. - Utilize company resources for continual learning and ensure ethical standards. Qualifications: - Degree/Certification in Interior Design or equivalent experience - High School degree or equivalent - CIDA accreditation/ASID membership a plus. - Proficient in Microsoft Office and floor/space planning tools. - Solid grasp of home décor principles. - Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. - Ability to balance multiple tasks and work in a team. - Ability to work the schedule and hours dictated by business needs, to include evenings, weekends and holidays Pay: $20 an hour training pay (no commission) first 3-4 weeks, after training $26,000 per year paid bi weekly • 3.5% of Net Written Design Sales and 2% on entered written sales other than La-Z-Boy Design sales.
