We are seeking a Residential Interior Designer with a strong focus on kitchen and bath cabinetry design. This person will translate client visions into innovative, practical, and beautiful interior spaces, working collaboratively from concept to completion.
Role Overview
As a Cabinetry-Focused Interior Designer, you will take ownership of spatial planning, cabinetry layout, and the technical execution of residential remodels-primarily kitchens, bathrooms, and custom built-ins. You will blend creativity with technical expertise to ensure outstanding design solutions that are on-brand and client-focused.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the interior design and cabinetry layout process for residential remodeling projects (primarily kitchens & bathrooms).
• Conduct client consultations to understand project needs, budgets, and style preferences.
• Develop space plans, detailed cabinetry elevations, and millwork drawings
• Create high-quality 3D renderings and presentation decks.
• Collaborate with project managers, carpenters, and trade professionals to execute design intent.
• Attend site visits to take measurements, verify progress, and resolve design-related field issues.
• Manage timelines and budgets related to design deliverables.
• Stay current with cabinetry trends, NKBA standards, ADA codes, and sustainable practices.

Requirements
Required Qualifications
• 3+ years of experience in residential interior design with a specialization in kitchen and bath cabinetry.
• Proficiency in cabinetry layout software such as Chief Architect, 20/20, Cabinet Vision, SketchUp, or AutoCAD.
• Deep knowledge of spatial planning, color theory, cabinetry construction, and millwork detailing.
• Experience with construction documentation and coordination with contractors.
• Strong communication and client presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Preferred Experience
• NKBA certification or working knowledge of NKBA guidelines.
• Experience with luxury residential remodels or high-end design-build firms.
• Familiarity with Chief Architect.
• Understanding of ADA codes, building codes, and permit processes for residential interiors.
