We’re a family-owned real estate company based in South Jersey looking for a Rockstar Carpenter to join our team to work on projects ranging from apartment rehabs to high-end custom renovations. From rough framing to finishing, we’re looking for carpenters with at least 5 years of experience and a proven track record of reliable and successful work in renovations and/or new construction. The ideal candidate for this position will be a team player who is willing to work both independently and on a crew and who is innovative, flexible and capable of producing high-quality finish work to meet project demands. General Skills -General operating knowledge of all tools and equipment -Basic math skills to perform algebra and geometry calculations related to construction tasks -Problem-solving skills to identify issues and create action plans -Ability to read architectural drawings and adhere to building plans -Knowledge of basic construction materials, policies and procedures -Ability to adapt to changing work priorities in a challenging environment -Capable of working independently without constant supervision. Carpentry Skills -Carpentry: Rough framing, installation and repair of doors/jambs/hardware, trim, moldings, tile, etc. -Drywall: installation and repair of sheetrock, spackling, sanding, caulking, etc. -Electric: installation and repair of light fixtures, switches, outlets, appliances, etc. -Plumbing: installation and repair of faucets, drains, traps, toilets, diverters, valves, appliances, etc. including ability to troubleshoot and repair resident calls for clogged kitchen and bathroom drains -HVAC: general knowledge and ability to troubleshoot central HVAC systems, ability to bleed lines for gas-fired boilers with hot water baseboard systems -Perform basic locksmith duties by adjusting doors, hinges & locks -Appliance repair -Painting (interior/exterior) General Requirements -Valid drivers license and vehicle -Must have your own tools -Strong levels of communication both written and spoken English. -A sense of humor and grace under pressure will go a long way
