About this role

THE REQUIREMENTS • Must have bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture. • Have at least four years of experience in-the-field of residential interior design and or architecture in a same or similar role. • Must be proficient in Auto CAD, Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Power Point, Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Illustrator, SketchUp, Revit and InDesign are a plus. • Understanding of the design and construction process. • Able to read and interpret construction and design documents. • Strong design skills & experience in the selection of FF&E; as well as the preparation of design drawings and details. • Have great communication skills to communicate directly with clients, contractors, sub-contractors, engineers, vendors, and others, . • Extreme attention to detail with strong organization skills. • Incredible work ethic and follow through. • Self-motivated, adaptable and the ability to thrive in a face-paced and demanding creative environment. • Confidence and ability to clearly communicate your ideas. • The ability to work with a team, collaborate with others and take direction. • Ability to prioritize, organization and plan - attention to detail Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary service. • Must have your own laptop to work, car and cell phone. • Ability to help haul samples and small furniture items during presentations or installations. • Friendly and fun! POSITION Architectural/Interior Designer • The Project Manager & Interior Designer is to develop residential design documents, project presentation in Photoshop, excel estimates and invoices in Ivy. Knowledge of Ivy is a plus but not necessary as inhouse training can be provided. • Responsible for developing residential design documents in an accurate and timely manner. To follow through on those documents in all phases from design concept to completion. • Responsible for requesting estimates from vendors and fabricators and meeting with subcontractors on job sites to observe construction and installation of interior finishes materials procured by the firm. • Responsible for procuring FF&E; and overseeing the logistics, delivery, inspection, and installation of the procured items.
