About this role

We’re looking for a passionate and creative Interior Designer to join us onsite (owner’s office and location in Stamford Connecticut) for a large coastal luxury waterfront home project, from vision to complete implementation (everything new). This is an exciting hands-on role, augmenting owner’s ideas and visions, outlining ideas on vision boards (photo/drawing/graphic) or otherwise, locating and sourcing furniture, accessories, decorations, lights and lamps, artwork and designing and fabricating some custom elements for a perfect outcome. You will also work with interior building contractors to influence and outline wall paneling, stonework, paint, lighting and other aspects of creating a perfect fusion between furniture, accessories, decorations, lighting and backdrop environment. You’ll work closely with homeowners, contractors, and vendors to help bring a design vision to life while keeping things on track, organized and well-illustrated along the way. This will be a great “fashionable” standout project for a resume. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead and support design development across all phases of a residential remodel. • Assist with space planning, finish selections, fixtures, furniture, and décor. • Create and organize mood boards, samples, and design presentations. • Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors onsite. • Track orders, lead times, deliveries, and installations. • Attend walkthroughs, take measurements, and help problem-solve onsite. • Help keep project details, budgets, and specs organized. What We’re Looking For • Minimum 3 years of experience with residential interior design or a similar role. • Comfortable and able to work onsite in an active remodel environment. • Solid understanding of materials, finishes, and the big picture. • Proficiency in use of illustration tools. • Some experience in dealing with vendors, price and delivery negotiations. • Organized, detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks. • Easygoing, collaborative, and proactive attitude. Details • 6-month onsite contract • Start immediately or as soon as possible • Solid full-time pay based on experience
