OBMI is a global master planning, architecture, and interior design practice shaping luxury resorts, boutique hotels, private residences, and mixed-use destinations around the world. For over 90 years, we’ve created places deeply rooted in land, culture, and emotion while balancing imagination, craft, and care. Our Miami studio is growing, and we’re looking for an exceptional Project Designer, Interior Design to join our team. As part of our global design practice, you’ll contribute to a diverse portfolio of international projects, with a strong focus on hospitality and residential design, working within a collaborative, design-driven studio environment. About the role The Project Designer, Interior Design plays a key role in translating design vision into built reality. You’ll work closely with Lead Designers, Directors, and project teams across all stages of design from concept development through detailed design and delivery. This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on designer who brings both creative strength and technical rigor, enjoys mentoring junior designers, and is ready to take ownership of meaningful portions of a project. Who we’re looking for We’re seeking designers who bring curiosity, clarity of thought, and a strong collaborative mindset, with experience in hospitality and/or residential environments and a passion for design excellence. If you’re the right candidate, you will: Be confident working across multiple project stages, from early concept to documentationHave strong 2D and 3D design skills and a compelling, well-curated portfolioBe comfortable leading portions of a project and guiding junior team membersThrive in a studio where ideas are shared openly and design quality mattersYou’ll be part of a forward-thinking studio that values storytelling, innovation, sustainability, and integrity, contributing to projects that shape meaningful experiences across global destinations. Key skills & experience 5–8 years of professional experience in interior designStrong proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative SuiteExperience with 3D modeling tools such as Rhino or SketchUpWorking knowledge of Revit (proficiency preferred)Solid understanding of FF&E, finishes, specifications, and detailingAbility to collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and internal teams Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States.
