Role Description As a Project Designer, you will be a key contributor to our design team, moving projects from initial concept through construction documentation and administration. We are looking for a technically-minded designer who understands that great design is grounded in buildability. You will utilize BIM workflows to develop complex architectural solutions, ensure compliance with building codes, and coordinate with consultants to deliver high-quality project sets. What You Will Do Design Development: Participate in all project phases, including programming, conceptual design, and design development, translating client visions into functional architectural plans.Technical Documentation: Produce comprehensive construction document sets (plans, sections, elevations, and details) with a focus on accuracy and clarity.BIM Leadership: Execute projects primarily in Revit and AutoCAD, maintaining high standards for model health and drawing organization.Regulatory Compliance: Apply knowledge of the IBC (International Building Code) and local zoning ordinances to ensure all designs meet life safety and accessibility requirements.Project Lifecycle Coordination: Manage submittals, RFIs, and shop drawing reviews during the Construction Administration phase.Collaboration: Coordinate with MEP, structural, and civil engineers to integrate all systems into the architectural design. Your Qualifications Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in an architecture firm.Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program.Software Mastery: High proficiency in Revit (BIM) and AutoCAD is required. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop) and 3D rendering software (Enscape, Rhino, or SketchUp) is a plus.Technical Knowledge: Foundational understanding of the IBC, ADA standards, and general architectural practice standards.Project Lifecycle: Familiarity with the phases of design (SD, DD, CD, and CA).Communication: Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills; ability to present design intent to both internal teams and clients.Licensure: Currently on the path to licensure (NCARB AXP) is preferred and supported.
