Ravatt, Albrecht & Associates, Inc. (RA) is a Central Coast multi-disciplinary
A/E firm founded in 1999. We provide planning, architecture, interior design,
mechanical and electrical engineering, and plumbing design to both the public
and private sector, with corporate headquarters in Santa Barbara County and
offices in San Luis Obispo and Orange Counties. RA is seeking a licensed
Project Architect/Project Manager that has extensive experience managing
federal design-build projects throughout California, including facilities for
the Navy, Army, Air Force, and Veterans Administration. Other RA project types
include local government, schools, multi-family residential, and commercial.
This individual will be expected to work with other licensed architects,
designers, engineers, military personnel, non-profit leadership, and business
owners. Some travel may be required. Remote or hybrid work a possibility for
the right candidate; however, preference will be given to local candidates.
Role and Responsibilities: • Project management • Coaching and supervision of
A/E staff • Perform project startup items such as project-specific items and
submittals • Coordination with consultants • Understanding of construction
drawings and specifications • Process RFPs, RFIs, and Change Orders • Prepare,
update, and manage project schedules • Monthly project billing preparation •
Provide weekly project reports to the Principal Architect • Travel to and
attend project and consultant meetings to support the project • Construction
administration • Design presentations and interviews • Building and
maintaining positive client relationships Required Qualifications: • 5+ years
of project management experience on large design-build facilities • Bachelor's
or master’s degree in Architecture • California state license • Direct
experience working with multi-discipline project production teams • Vast
knowledge of multi-discipline design development and construction documents •
Ability to prepare drawings and details • Knowledge of BIM modeling and BIM
processes on large projects • Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative
Suite, Microsoft Office • Knowledge of California Building Code and other
locally enforced codes and ordinances • Ability to perform code and regulation
research • U.S. citizen (preference given to local candidates) • Experience
and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required Desired

changing tasks and responsibilities • Well organized, flexible, and detail-
