We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Project Architect Specialist to join our vibrant team. Our ideal candidate will bring a passion for interiors, strong collaborative skills, and a commitment to excellence in design. In this role, you will provide essential support in project administration, design development, and contract documentation under the guidance of a Senior Job Captain or Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and review construction documents (CDs) ensuring compliance with firm standards, mechanical and building systems, codes, and ADA requirements. Collaborate with senior technical staff to solve design challenges.
• Oversee project management during the contract administration phase.
• Coordinate engineering consultants to ensure alignment with design solutions and timely document submissions.
• Assist occasionally with field surveys as needed.
• Manage the budget for contract administration on assigned projects, alerting senior staff and clients of any potential budget variances.
• Mentor Junior and Intermediate Designers, overseeing their tasks and providing constructive feedback.
• Conduct client interviews to assess technical requirements for effective design implementation.
Qualifications:
• Degree in architecture or design; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Current architecture license is essential.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate interior design projects.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Strong understanding of design principles and standards.
• Intermediate skills in documentation and field observation.
• Expertise in interior architecture detailing.
• Proficient understanding of construction documents and procedures.
• Knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA regulations.
• Familiarity with spatial requirements and contract administration.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Advanced skills in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate graphic communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor junior staff through expertise and guidance.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000/year based on education, licensing, and relevant industry experience.
