WHAT YOU'LL DO Provides instruction in the teaching of a specific subject or field of knowledge and guides student study and learning in that subject field. Collective Bargaining Agreement Link WHAT YOU'LL NEED At a minimum, the selected candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline; and an industry-recognized credential or certification related to Interior Design, such as NCIDQ certification, National Kitchen and Bath Association certification, or equivalent professional certification. Ability to qualify for a FSCJ Certificate applicable to the area of instructional responsibility. The preferred candidate will hold a Master of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline, or a master's degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. Preference will be given to candidates with higher education teaching experience, professional interior design experience, and current knowledge of industry practices, software, codes, standards, and professional expectations. Additional preferred qualifications include prior interior design teaching or industry experience; the ability to teach hybrid courses using the Canvas LMS; proficiency with design software; and experience mentoring students as they prepare for employment. Possible exceptions, includes any bachelor's degree with substantial professional experience in Interior Design and a specific industry-recognized certification related to the instructional area, such as NCIDQ certification, National Kitchen and Bath Association certification, or equivalent professional certification.
