Ravatt, Albrecht & Associates, Inc. (RA) is a Central Coast multi-disciplinary
A/E firm founded in 1999. We provide planning, architecture, interior design,
mechanical and electrical engineering, and plumbing design to both the public
and private sector, with corporate headquarters in Santa Barbara County and
offices in San Luis Obispo and Orange Counties. RA is seeking a Plumbing
Designer/Drafter that has experience assisting in the production of
construction documents (drawing and specifications) for new buildings,
renovations, and additions to existing facilities. RA project types include
federal design-build, local government, schools, multi-family residential, and
commercial. This individual will be expected to work with licensed architects,
project managers, designers, and other engineers. Remote or hybrid work a
possibility for the right candidate; however, preference will be given to
local candidates. Role and Responsibilities: • Assisting in the production of
construction documents (drawing and specifications) • Adhering to project
schedule and budget • Providing plumbing design and coordination of overall
project design with other disciplines • Collaborating with staff on design and
practice standards • Reviewing submittals and RFIs; other construction
administration responsibilities as needed Required Qualifications: •
Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Mechanical, or Construction Engineering •
1+ years of relevant professional experience OR 4 years of experience in lieu
of degree • Knowledge of plumbing codes and experience with plumbing
calculations/sizing and selecting equipment • Experience with AutoCAD and
Microsoft Office • Knowledge of California Building Code and other locally
enforced codes and ordinances • Ability to perform code and regulation
research • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering firm • U.S.
citizen (preference given to local candidates) Desired Skills: • Highly
