About the Role: We are seeking a Planner/Project Manager skilled in New Urbanist principles and Traditional Neighborhood Design. This mid-level role leads planning and architectural design efforts, manages complex projects, mentors junior staff, and builds strong client relationships. Candidates should have experience in both architecture and planning, with proven ability to guide projects from concept to completion.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
• Project Leadership: Lead the design and planning of projects from concept through entitlement, ensuring design integrity, technical quality, and client satisfaction.
• Project Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team. Provide clear direction and regular feedback as appropriate.
• Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients. Lead presentations, workshops, and coordination meetings.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to high-level planning studies, master plans, zoning analysis, and site development strategies.
• Quality Control: Oversee project deliverables and ensure compliance with codes, regulations, and best practices.
• Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with landscape architects, engineers, developers, and municipal stakeholders to ensure holistic solutions.
• Business Development: Support marketing efforts, proposal development, and participation in interviews and competitions.
Qualifications:
• Professional degree in Architecture REQUIRED. Urban Design/Planning Degree a plus.
• Licensure preferred: RA, AICP, or equivalent.
• 7–10 years of professional experience, with at least 3 years in a project management role.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating urban planning, master planning, and architectural design projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite. REVIT experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Passion for placemaking, walkable communities, and urban design principles.
