Your Role: Interior Designer II
Years of Experience Required: 3-5+ years
You will use enhanced knowledge of project complexity to contribute to the overall success of the team, adhering to firm and project goals and standards of excellence in interior design, execution, and living design.
Responsibilities include preparing contract documents, creating presentation materials and models, researching manufacturers, and selecting colors, finishes, materials, lighting, and furniture for interior application.
You will also grow in knowledge of project scope, budgets, and deliverables, contribute to programming and space planning analysis, develop graphic communication skills, and use a creative approach to complete tasks and responsibilities on projects.
High-level Summary of Critical Technical Skills and Certifications:
Proficiencies include BIM, building codes and guidelines, basic knowledge in programming, planning, and site analysis, preliminary design studies, contract documents, field observations and measurements, life safety requirements, furniture and interior product specifications, and construction contract administration.
Software proficiency includes functional knowledge of 2D/3D production software, intermediate Revit, conceptual modeling tools such as Rhino and Grasshopper, Microsoft Office / Adobe Suite, visualization tools such as Enscape and VRay, and presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop.
Licensure/Certifications/Education:
Required qualifications include LEED GA within 6 months of hire, professional accreditation in one area of Living Design, and a bachelor's degree in interiors, architecture, or a related discipline.
