About this role

We’re Hiring a Design Assistant!(Yes, this is your sign to turn your space-planning superpowers into a real job.)Do you find yourself mentally rearranging rooms the second you walk into them? Ever visit a friend’s house and immediately know what furniture needs to shift—or what’s missing to make the space work? Do you love solving space puzzles and still get excited about swatches and styling? If that sounds like you, you might be exactly who we’ve been looking for. We’re on the hunt for a creative, detail-loving, function-first thinker to join our fast-paced design world as our Residential Remedies Design Assistant. You'll be our right hand in pulling off homes that work beautifully and look amazing—because our love for what we do is split right down the middle: function before decor... but we love both equally. What You’ll Be Doing: Consultation Sidekick: • Join us in-home, in-store, or virtually to take measurements, photos, notes, and capture all the juicy design dialogue • Help sketch floor plans or elevations by hand or transfer to digital format Organization Ninja: • Update client databases, track project details, and manage timelines • Use tools like Excel, scheduling systems and project management tools to keep everything organized Style Co-Conspirator: • Assist in planning the look and feel of each space—your eye for color, texture, and layout is key • Work closely with the lead designer to bring vision to reality On-Site Heroics: • Support installation days by placing furniture, setting area rugs, hanging drapes, unpacking decor, and helping style the space • Light organizing may be part of the process—like grouping similar items, helping edit clutter, or resetting a cabinet or shelf • Be ready to jump in with whatever’s needed to help a project come together smoothly and beautifully Admin Ace: • Assist with client communication, appointment scheduling, and coordination with vendors and contractors • Occasionally drop off or pick up items for clients, review samples, or help with light solo setup tasks • While most work is done alongside the lead designer, you should feel confident and professional working independently when needed How We Work: We believe design and organization go hand in hand. A space isn't truly beautiful if it doesn't function well—and functionality doesn't have to be boring. We create stylish, livable spaces for real people with real needs. Whether we’re solving layout issues, styling a gallery wall, or reorganizing a pantry, we aim for spaces that feel as good as they look. What It Takes Day to Day: • Comfort with hands-on work, including unpacking decor, placing rugs and furniture, hanging drapes, and light tidying • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work shifts of up to five hours as needed for installations • Willingness to assist with light cleanup (trash removal, vacuuming, resetting a space post-install) • Humility, flexibility, and teamwork—no task is too small, and we deeply value a "pitch in and get it done" mindset What You’ll Bring to the Team: • A humble, can-do attitude with a strong sense of ownership—no task is too small when the end result is a beautiful, functional space • Emotional intelligence: the ability to read a room, observe client cues, and adjust your approach with empathy and professionalism • Comfort working both independently and collaboratively, with clear communication and respect for the process • Tech agility: confidence navigating apps, tools, and platforms on both desktop and mobile; we’ll train you on our systems, but you should be a quick and capable learner • A sense of humor and a love for design that functions as beautifully as it looks Scheduling & Flexibility: This is a flexible, part-time role. Most weeks average 15–20 hours, but some slower periods may flex down to 8–10 hours. Our business hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, and availability during that window is preferred. Schedules are discussed in advance and can flex to meet project and personal needs. Perks of the Role: • Real-world experience in residential interior design and organization • Exposure to a variety of spaces, clients, and design styles • The opportunity to learn and grow with a collaborative, creative team • The satisfaction of seeing real transformations—and knowing you made them happen If you're ready to roll up your sleeves (or push them up fashionably), apply now and bring your design brain and get-it-done energy to our team. Let’s make beautiful, functional spaces together. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week Benefits: • Flexible schedule Schedule: • 4 hour shift Work Location: In person
