About Company: Parker-Torres Design, a Baker Barrios Company, is an international interior design and interior architectural firm specializing in Hospitality design. About the Role: The Designer / CAD Specialist plays a vital role in supporting senior staff by preparing detailed drawings and specifications using REVIT and/or AutoCAD. This position involves collaborating on all project phases, from concept to installation, with a focus on custom designs, interior architectural detailing, and FF&E specification. Key Responsibilities: • Create custom FF&E designs, including furniture, lighting, and carpets. • Develop and document interior architectural millwork and other design elements. • Attend design meetings, conference calls, and site visits. • Maintain regular communication with senior designers and project stakeholders. • Prepare and organize finish specifications and specification books. • Review and approve shop drawings and submittals. • Develop designs using sketches or CAD, producing detailed plans, elevations, and construction details in REVIT or AutoCAD. • Tag drawings with specifications and prepare scope notes for clarity. • Support senior staff with presentations and project deliverables. • Ensure timely, accurate, and professional execution of tasks. • Perform field verifications and review construction progress as needed. Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred. • 3–7 years of experience in a professional interior design or architectural office. • Hospitality design experience is preferred. • Proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite. • Familiarity with SketchUp and Photoshop (preferred, but not required). • Strong design skills and a deep appreciation for creative, thoughtful design. • Knowledge of both traditional and contemporary interior materials and finishes. • Experience in preparing detailed drawings, room type matrices, and specifications. • Familiarity with International Building Codes and ADA regulations. • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage deadlines effectively.
