OSP Design Specialist

Responsibilities • Assist with fielding tasks such as engineering design notetaking, pole data collection, and other related activities. • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of applicable building codes and design codes, including NEC and NESC. • Review jurisdiction documentation and determine design parameters within the Right-Of-Way with provided parameters. • Identify key components for site design in telecommunications fiber networks. • Examine basic Telecom and Fiber-Outside Plant (OSP) design principles, including FTTx, MDU, wiring diagrams, splicing schematics, equipment types, and more. • Design and draft permit drawings with minimal guidance. • Prepare specialty drawings for utility companies, railroads, interstate crossings, landmark designs, and other projects with provided parameters. • Design Fiber-Optic networks using ArcGIS software or client-designated software with provided parameters.
