New construction Interior Designer for a homebuilder

Home Interior Designer for homebuiding company Custom homebuilding company is looking for a Home Interior Designer to assist clients making selections for their custom home. Approx 20 homes per year priced between $800k - $2m mostly located within 1.5 hours from Edmond. Interior Designer designation is not required but experience with design and local and national construction suppliers is. We... have great standing and accounts set up with many vendors locally and nationally but you'd be allowed and encouraged to develop your own relationships as well. Selections will include trim, cabinetry, tile, lights, paint, flooring etc and contacts for suppliers in those areas would be helpful. Ability to create mood boards and communicate directly with clients coordinate an overall look for their home (often using Pinterest and HOUZZ) is important. General knowledge of pricing and estimate calculating required as we bill on a cost/plus basis. Each home is 100% custom so this position is perfect for someone with experience working with a builder that wants more creativity and independence. Set your own schedule, work from home and/or our office. Travel to job sites often on farmland in neighboring cities for trim/paint/flooring etc walk-throughs involving the Construction Superintent, client and contractor. Trade contractor status: Lots of flexibility with this job - create your own career/company with no limits. Great for someone who wants to grow their own design business with us being a main client. We have lots of opportunities for referral busines: clients who want to hire you directly to help with furniture etc after the build. We also have a large Realtor team that can refer clients with existing homes that need help staging etc and we participate in several events each year such as Home + Garden Show and Parade of Homes where you'll be encouraged to meet potential clients and gain 100s of new leads for your business. Knowledge of the construction process a must. Organizational skills with strengths in process-building also important and of course a great eye for design in multiple styles. A strong social media presence is a plus.
