About this role
We are pleased to announce the relocation of our corporate headquarters to Greenway Plaza’s Phoenix Tower in Houston’s Upper Kirby neighborhood.
Model Home Designer III uses their education, artistic talent, and creative insight to conceptualize and design model home interiors that reflect market trends and buyer preferences and effectively promote the Perry Homes brand. They possess wide latitude in creating their interior designs and are expected to exercise considerable discretion and independent judgment in all aspects of their work.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Focus on new plans, larger square foot models, and specialized plans and projects.
• Utilize advanced skills to manage complex design projects and provide expert guidance to create high-end model homes.
• Collaborate and engage in all aspects of the design process, including drawings and presentations.
• Select, purchase, and coordinate the inventory needed for budgeted model home designs.
• Prepare, coordinate, and finalize schedules, records, and paperwork essential for job responsibilities.
• Oversee the setting up of model homes to ensure the inventory is arranged according to the intended design.
• Prepare preliminary and final budgets for model home designs.
• Collaborate with other team members on projects.
• Occasionally handle urgent assignments with tight deadlines and short notice.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support team goals and department objectives.

Qualifications
• College degree in Interior Design or another design-related field required.
• Requires at least 4 years of relevant experience in a design-related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are crucial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Current, valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record and reliable transportation is required.
• Must be willing to travel locally and in other markets for model home installations.
• Demonstrated computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience in Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
