Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Mid-Level Interior Designer specializing in residential design and construction. In this role, you will bring innovative ideas to life, transforming client visions into stunning, functional living spaces. Duties • Develop comprehensive interior design concepts for residential spaces, incorporating client preferences, functionality, and aesthetic appeal. • Create detailed drawings and presentations using software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino (Rhinoceros 3D), and Adobe Creative Suite to communicate design ideas effectively. • Collaborate with clients, contractors, and vendors to select materials, finishes, lighting fixtures, and furnishings that enhance the overall design vision. • Manage multiple projects simultaneously by coordinating schedules, budgets, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of high-quality results. • Prepare detailed construction documents and specifications using Bluebeam and CAD tools to facilitate seamless renovation and remodeling processes. • Oversee project progress on-site, conducting inspections to ensure adherence to design plans, quality standards, and safety regulations. • Assist in lighting sales consultations by providing expert advice on lighting design solutions that complement interior aesthetics and functionality. Experience • Proven experience as an interior designer with a strong portfolio showcasing residential projects from initial concept through construction. • Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator), Bluebeam, and other relevant drafting or visualization tools. • Solid understanding of interior design principles including color theory, space planning, drafting techniques, lighting design, and renovation processes. • Experience managing project budgets, contracts, and client relationships within residential construction environments. • Knowledge of building codes, safety standards, and construction practices related to remodeling and renovation projects. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving. • Familiarity with lighting sales processes and the ability to incorporate lighting solutions into overall interior designs is a plus.
