MID-LEVEL DESIGNER MNStudioInteriors.com MN Studio is highly collaborative, design-centric team focused on creative workplace, boutique hotels, restaurants, high-end residential, senior living, and mixed-use project types. We are seeking a driven, energetic, creative, and organized mid-level interior designer to join our team. The candidate will need to work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners to develop forward thinking spaces and attend to client and project team needs. What you need to know… Skills & Qualifications: • 3 - 6 years professional design experience (preferably in both residential & commercial) • Ideally a professional degree or certification in Interior Design or related field • Proficiency in CAD drafting required - Revit and/or Vectorworks preferred • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Google Suite required • SketchUp experience and rendering abilities desirable • Proficiency in InDesign & Photoshop • Knowledge of and experience with California state and local building codes and standards (including ADA). • Must be able to communicate design ideas in an organized and efficient manner with high attention to detail • Must be able to attend meetings with clients and produce clear notesFamiliarity of building materials, finishes, furniture and lighting is a plus • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work load and tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast paced work environment • Superior presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written • Must be comfortable interfacing with clients and presenting design ideas • Ability to help haul heavy samples and small furniture items during presentations or installations • Must enjoy working in a highly collaborative studio environment What we will expect you to do… Responsibilities: • Assist with the conceptual design, development, and presentation of project concepts • Produce and manage interior construction drawings, finish/fixture schedules and specifications. • Source inspiration, research materials and furnishings • Attend project meetings and site visits and work closely and collaboratively with principal, clients, architects, contractors, and consultants • Produce organized and concise meeting minutes • Assist in all things FF&E; quoting, budgets, proposals, specifications, purchase orders, payments, and installation • Handle multiple tasks in a fast paced working environment • Come to work with a positive attitude ready to contribute, learn, and grow as a designer.
