Mid-Level Interior Architect / Designer Wanted for Dynamic DC Firm Are you a versatile Architect or Designer looking to make your mark on the Washington, DC region’s vibrant urban and suburban landscapes? The Role: As a mid-level architect/designer, you'll be involved in all phases of our projects, from conceptual design through construction administration. You'll have the opportunity to work directly with firm leadership to: • Guide place-making & ground floor retail design opportunities for mixed-use / commercial developments. • Contribute to cutting-edge retail, restaurant, and commercial designs. • Work with National Clients on regional rollouts. • Collaborate with award-winning chefs and restauranteurs on unique dining concepts. • Participate on conceptual design proposals and make material & finish selections. • Have direct contact with Clients and take responsibility for project deliverables. • Work with contractors throughout the construction of projects you’ve designed and permitted. What We're Looking For: • 5+ years of experience, with a focus on retail/restaurant/commercial design. Although retail or hospitality experience is preferred, lacking this exposure will not preclude strong candidates from being considered. • Strong technical proficiency in construction documentation. • Expertise in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite. • Exceptional design skills and a professional portfolio. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Adaptability and eagerness to take on diverse responsibilities, including project management. Qualifications: • Bachelor's in Architecture or Interior Design (Master's preferred for Architects). • Professional license or on track for licensure. • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship need.
