Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 12 months Key Responsibilities: • Design mechanical components & assemblies ensuring manufacturability. • Create 3D models & 2D drawings in SolidWorks & Creo. • Conduct tolerance analysis & design validation for reliable development. • Collaborate across electrical, software, & manufacturing teams. • Lead design reviews, FMEA, DFM/DFA, & root cause analysis. • Support prototyping, testing, & troubleshooting. • Maintain PLM documentation & stay updated on industry trends. • 5+ years’ experience in product design and development Required Skills: • SolidWorks & Creo expertise in modeling & drafting. • Strong materials & manufacturing knowledge (plastic, sheet metal, casting). • GD&T, tolerance analysis, & design validation experience. • Problem-solving & cross-functional collaboration skills. • Medical device industrial background is mandatory.
