About this role

Pay Range $18.50 - $25.60 Purpose: Join our dynamic team as a Lead Designer, where you will guide our design efforts and offer an exceptional end-to-end consultative design service, fostering strong relationships and brand loyalty with our clients. As a Lead Designer, you will meet with customers to understand their project needs, educate them on the requirements for their designs, and craft creative and personalized design concepts that align with their individual style, lifestyle, and budget. Minimum Eligibility Requirements Degree in Design (BA or AA in Interior Design) or meet 6 years of interior design experience.Combination of education and experience totaling 6 years is required.Prior retail/sales experience is preferred.Knowledge of hard surface flooring is an asset.Basic mathematical skills are essential.Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Basic computer knowledge, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.Internal candidates must have 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer position.Essential Functions Build and maintain positive relationships with residential and professional clients.Greet and assist customers, addressing their design needs promptly.Schedule design appointments and develop a client base through networking, referrals, and in-store leads.Advise on tile, wood, stone, and accessory selections for residential and commercial projects.Create and sell comprehensive, functional, and visually appealing design solutions.Oversee multiple customer projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and consistent communication.Collaborate with store leadership and team members to navigate projects from inquiry to installation, meeting sales goals.Support company initiatives and goals by demonstrating best practices and coaching team members.Stay engaged with current design trends relevant to your market.Utilize design applications such as Salesforce and MyProject effectively.Participate in local professional affiliations like ASID and NKBA.Perform additional duties as assigned.Working Conditions Limited car travel may be required.Exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles with a moderate to noisy noise level is expected.Physical/Sensory Requirements Ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects. The role frequently requires hand dexterity and the ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
