Lead Carpenter

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and coordinate a variety of residential construction, restoration, and fabrication projects. In this role, you will lead teams through complex tasks, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your expertise in carpentry / remodeling will drive successful project outcomes while fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Responsibilities • Lead and supervise self-performing construction crews on diverse projects including framing, trim carpentry, siding, flooring, millwork, drywall installation, and restoration efforts. • Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide project execution accurately. • Coordinate with team members to ensure proper use of hand tools, power tools, and other equipment for efficient workflow. • Oversee the installation of fixtures, cabinetry, doors, windows, and other building components with precision. • Manage onsite safety protocols, conduct inspections for quality control, and ensure compliance with industry standards. • Facilitate communication between subcontractors and project managers. • Ensure high level client satisfaction within occupied residences. Qualifications • Proven experience in construction activities such as framing carpentry, trim carpentry, siding or related fields within the residential construction industry. • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for various construction disciplines. • Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, heavy lifting equipment and fabrication techniques including wood framing and tile laying. • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex assembly or remodeling tasks. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades such as mechanical subcontractors on site. • Valid certifications in construction safety or specialized trade skills are preferred but not mandatory.
