About the position The Kitchen & Bath Designer at Carter Lumber is responsible for designing and selling kitchen and bath spaces for new construction and remodeling projects. This role involves working closely with builders, contractors, and homeowners to create functional and aesthetically pleasing designs that meet customer needs. Responsibilities • Design interior spaces including kitchens, bathrooms, offices, mudrooms, and bars based on customer needs. • Measure job sites for accurate design implementation. • Identify and pursue sales opportunities with contractors and homeowners. • Secure final sales through effective communication and relationship-building. • Stay updated on kitchen and bath cabinetry, materials, finishes, and trends. Requirements • Demonstrated ability to design and sell to contractors and homeowners. • Excellent knowledge of kitchen and bath cabinetry, materials, finishes, detailing, and trends. • Working knowledge of 20/20 and Microsoft Office programs. • Ability to read blueprints. • Strong math skills for quoting. • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written. • Ability to perform detail-oriented tasks in a fast-paced environment. • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on customer needs.
