About this role

Who We Are: Decker Design Group is a family run, full-service luxury Interior Design firm specializing in multi-family development. Our design studio is based in Carmel, Indiana, however our portfolio spans nationwide from Colorado to Florida. Job Brief: We are looking for a Junior Interior Designer to provide Interior Design support to our team. As a Junior Interior Designer, you will perform various design tasks, such as developing and executing client project presentations, technical drawings, design selections and traveling to install projects. For this role, a strong sense of design aesthetics is required, along with the skills of using key design software such as Revit and Power Point. Experience in Multi-Family or Commercial Design is preferred, but not required. We are looking for a new teammate that is detail oriented, passionate about design, has a positive attitude and is eager to learn and grow within the design industry. Responsibilities: · Collaborate with team on client projects for furniture, rug, art and accessory selections · Attend and present at client meetings · Manage project designs and schedules · Prepare drawings in Revit and/or CAD · Prepare PowerPoint furniture presentation packages for client viewing · Become proficient with Studio Designer project management software (inventory, proposals, invoices, purchase orders, etc.) · Prepare preliminary & complete design packages in Studio Designer based on client needs and requirements · Attend and help manage project installations · Develop client relationships, both existing and new · Manage client & vendor timelines · Manage DDG Instagram account making regular posts and keeping images up to date · Manage small scale projects and schedules · Maintain accurate client files, records and project status · Maintain sample library and design studio · Interact with vendor reps on pricing, orders and sample acquisition · Maintain current knowledge of trends, products, material techniques and other developments in the industry Requirements: · Interior Design knowledge and experience (1-3 years preferred) · Degree in Interior Design · Both local and nationwide travel are required. Applicable expenses will be reimbursed · Thorough working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD Software · Thorough working knowledge of Power Point · Must be proficient using Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat · Ability to use Apple products · Excellent time management skills · Solid organizational skills · Impeccable attention to detail · Intimate knowledge of furniture, finishes and fixture materials · Ability to work independently and in a team environment, achieving results through collaboration and sharing · Ability to perform in an ever-changing work environment Employee Benefits: · Paid time off · Employee discount · New client & employee referral incentive program · Company provided laptop and software · Opportunities for promotions, advancement & growth · Additional benefits are negotiable Schedule: Monday to Friday · No weekend work unless project installation requires
