Junior Interior Designer

Client Communication Assist Lead Designer and participate in all meetings, phone conferences, webinars or other communication for any and all design related task for small to medium scale projects. Responsibilities Take accurate notes and provide copy to appropriate team members. • Communicate with clients and/or client’s representative as required. • Communicate with Builders, Architects and other Project Team members as required. • On-site Visits as required. • Space Planning • Assist Lead Designer in designing and/or consulting on all interior architectural spatial planning for the project. Assist Junior Designer on small scale projects. • Work with Senior Designer in creating Furniture Floor Plans, Interior Architectural Plans, Reflected Ceiling Plans, Lighting Plans and Elevations. • When required, assist Senior Designer in collaborating and managing outsourced architectural teams to modify floor plans and elevations. Selection and Specification of Finishes for Small Scale Projects • Select and/or consult on all interior finishes. • Select floor finishes. • Select interior and exterior wall & ceiling treatments.(i.e. tile, stone, wood, paint, plaster). • Select or design window treatments. • Create and/or oversee Design Assistant in creating finish schedules. • Work to accomplish the above with Senior Designer for large scale projects. Prepare for Client Presentations • Prepare presentation materials for small scale projects. • Layout fabrics in presentation trays. • Prepare design proposals and/or budgets. • Prepare agendas and minutes. • Prepare Final Design Presentation book. Qualifications AutoCAD. • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, AcrobatPro). • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word). • Asana Task Manager. • Resource for products online and offline. • Accurate documentation of specifications. • Excellent written and verbal communications. • Up to five years of experience working in the interior design field Excellent verbal and written communication skills
