Junior Interior Designer

Parkes & Lamb Interiors is seeking an experienced interior designer with a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-end residential design. We are interested in proactive and organized candidates with an eye for detail and strong understanding of high-end design. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who keeps projects on track by anticipating the next steps and proactively addressing challenges. As a junior designer, you will be involved in every stage of the design process and assist with managing the technical, creative, and administrative processes under the guidance and creative direction of the principal designers. We aim to train you to grow in proficiency and confidence so you can eventually transition into a senior designer role and work directly alongside principal designers on projects. -Assist in executing high-end design and build projects -Create space plans, construction documents, elevations, millwork, cabinetry details, technical documents... specification schedules -Assist in pricing and creating proposals -Review purchase order details with the studio manager -Manage project installation timelines, help coordinate delivery and installation schedules -Site visits to measure/photograph existing spaces -Source fabric, furniture, fixtures, finishes, tile -Assist in project scheduling, timelines, communication -Produce detailed drawings and specifications for construction and installation -Coordinate with vendors, contractors, tradespeople -Maintain and organize project files, presentations, pricing documentation, meeting notes -Participate in client meetings to communicate design concepts effectively and take notes -Collaborate with principal designers to translate design concepts/drawings into actionable plans -Gather samples, run errands as needed, and assist with general office duties -Anticipate potential roadblocks and proactively implement solutions -Foster positive relationships with clients and team members
