About this role

Position Summary Product designer and interior designer with a boutique firm office in West Hollywood is looking for a junior designer to seize an opportunity to advance to a senior designer position. The company does a mix of residential and commercial projects, and it is imperative the candidate is proficient in CAD production of full sets of drawings, inclusive of electrical and lighting... cabinetry etc. – which is typically a minimum of 3 years of experience. The candidate will be involved in a full project scope from concepts to presentations, selections of decorative materials and furnishings, construction drawings, project budgets, purchasing and expediting and project management of a project through punch list. They will also be directly involved with the client. It is a position only for those who would like more design autonomy and have a commitment to design as a career and not a job. Requirements · A minimum of 3 years of experience is needed for what the position requires. · Knowledge of residential and commercial design. · Must be able to clearly demonstrate capabilities in handling and overseeing a project from initial concept through to completion. · Exemplary organizational skills and a personable demeanor are essential. · Must be able to demonstrate proficiency in developing a full set of construction drawings. · Thorough knowledge of materials, furniture, finishes, specifications, and sourcing unique items · Experience budgeting project materials and construction items including contractor bids. · Product and material order purchasing, expediting, and working with vendors are all necessary. · Exceptional project management skills, exhibiting the ability to multi-task and have a proactive approach. · Experience with Microsoft Office, Photoshop, and Sketch-Up are also necessary. · Studio Designer and 3d Max experience a plus. · There is currently a consideration to produce work in Revit and experience in this helpful · There may be additional opportunities to participate in designing products Compensation: Competitive Salary including: Five paid sick days paid per year. Eleven public holidays paid per year.
