Job Description:
Our client has an opening for a Designer to join their team and support their interiors work. The Designer will be working as part of integrated design teams, responsible for the design and delivery processes aligned with client goals, budgets, and schedule parameters. The Designer will prepare and develop drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other documents... relating to the design, with a team.
The Designer is responsible for collaborating on the design of complex projects from schematic design through construction administration. They will support projects with a wide range in size and complexity, including new and existing buildings. Most projects are civil, justice, and other government buildings, but they will also support a variety of other commercial building types. They designer will develop comprehensive project palettes of materials and finishes. They will collaborate with clients, contractors, vendors, and other team members to outline and prepare specifications.
• The initial project will be a 3-story renovation of the St. Charles County Department of Corrections Facility in St. Louis. This person will have the opportunity to support other civil, justice projects, and higher education projects.
This may require occasional travel to project sites for kick off meetings, site surveys and other client meetings.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture or equivalent.
- 4+ years of experience in the commercial interior design industry (justice, civic, or government building projects are a plus)
- Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office suite (SketchUp and 3D Max/V-Ray experience is a plus)
- NCIDQ certification, or intent to achieve.
- Strong creative design and drawing skills, graphic and oral design presentation skills, capacity for conceptual design thinking, and 3D design/modeling ability.
- The ability to travel occasionally to support project tasks.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively in a cross-disciplinary team atmosphere and across multiple offices.
- Interest in sustainable design practices.
