Overview: Join our dynamic project team as a Junior Interior Design Specialist, where you'll support innovative design efforts while developing your professional skills. This entry-level position requires a willingness to learn, along with strong organizational abilities. Bring your creativity to life as you assist in transforming spaces. Responsibilities: • Revise drawings, presentations, and renderings as assigned by the lead designer. • Assist in preparing comprehensive implementation document sets, including interior plans, fixture plans, elevations, and details. • Organize project files, materials, and displays effectively. • Help develop and manage furniture and interior fittings packages to align with project goals. • Conduct site surveys, field verifications, and create test fit plans as needed. • Collaborate in developing interior concepts that reflect client vision and architectural objectives. • Engage in creative problem-solving to deliver innovative design solutions. • Research project-related concepts, sites, clients, and materials to support the team. • Coordinate with vendors and product manufacturers for finish samples and selections. • Communicate with other disciplines, consultants, and contractors regarding project requirements. • Assist in reviewing RFIs and submittals in the Construction Administration Phase. • Participate in product presentations to stay informed about industry trends and available materials. • Contribute to team meetings discussing project issues, technical problems, and inter-discipline coordination. Qualifications: Education and Experience • Accredited professional degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. • 0-3 years of experience in the field is typically required. Licenses and Certifications • On the path to obtaining NCIDQ certification. • Sustainable design accreditation is a plus. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Basic experience and skills in Revit, Rhino, Grasshopper, and Dynamo are required; intermediate knowledge is preferred. • Intermediate skills in visualization tools like Twinmotion and Enscape; advanced knowledge is a plus. • Proficiency in AI design tools and virtual reality applications such as VR headsets and Yulio is required. • Basic experience with graphic software including Bluebeam, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign. • Familiarity with MS Office Suite and furniture specifications software is essential; knowledge of Navisworks is preferred. • Basics of sustainability and integrated design guidelines should be understood. • Understand the principles of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) to implement design intent effectively. • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for professional interactions. • Ability to collaborate, problem-solve, and contribute innovative ideas within a team environment. • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines at a high standard. • Willingness to travel as necessary for site visits and project needs. Base Salary Range: $58,000 to $65,000 annually. This estimate applies to positions in Chicago, Denver, Los Angeles, New York, Washington DC, San Diego, and Seattle only. Actual salaries may differ based on factors such as internal equity, experience, education, and specialty training.
