We have many projects of various types and sizes with a focus on Luxury Multifamily, Mixed Use, Hotel/Hospitality, Historic Renovation, Commercial, Restaurants, Large Community Clubhouse design and renovations, as well as Non-Profit and Governmental facilities. We have been in business for over 35 years in both NY and FL.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Junior Draftsman / Junior Interior Designer. The Junior Interior Designer will work under the direction of Architects and Interior Designers to support the development and implementation of high quality, functional, and well-designed interior spaces. Basic knowledge of building construction and interior detailing are required to produce plans, elevations, and details using computer-aided design and drafting software. Other tasks include creating digital and physical sample boards and presentations, creating FF&E schedules and specification books, creating color elevations using Photoshop, and aiding in material and furniture selections, The role will involve working closely with architects and other design professionals to produce construction documents, resolve design issues, and ensure that projects are completed according to specifications.
The role is located in Schenectady, NY.
Qualifications
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Interior Design or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer-aided design and drafting software, such as AutoCAD and SketchUp.
• Knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and building codes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Experience working on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Ability to interpret design concepts and prepare accurate and complete construction documents.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under tight deadlines.
