Junior Designer for Full Service Design Firm

Reports to: Staff or Senior Designer Junior Designer General Responsibilities 1\\. Hand drafting skills, including space planning and proficiency in AutoCAD 2\\. Basic knowledge of architectural detailing of the space, read plans proficiently 3\\. Proficient in furniture/accessory placement 4\\. Assist with window treatments design and calculations in the Residential Division 5\\. Functionality/understanding of the function and feel of the designed spaces 6\\. History of design – can define the style and feeling of a design 7\\. Proficiency in paperwork, budget guidelines, paper processes throughout project 8\\. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with vendors and sub-contractors 9\\. Proficient and organized project management skills 10\\. Ability to follow through, effective decision making, effective/responsible communication to foster good team interaction 11\\. Assist designer with reselections of fabrics, wallpaper and furniture, as needed 12\\. Communication of customer service issues to customer service representative. Requirements: 1\\. Degree/Certificate in Interior Design, required 2\\. 4-year degree in Interior Design, preferred 3\\. Experience working in the Interior Design field, preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 1\\. Proficient in AutoCAD 2\\. Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel 3\\. Professional oral, written and interpersonal communications skills 4\\. Ability to work in a team environment 5\\.
