Junior Designer

KB Design is growing, and we’re looking for a Junior Interior Designer or Design Assistant to join our team. This role is perfect for someone early in their design career who’s eager to learn, jump in, and grow alongside a fast-moving, creative design firm. This is a hybrid position, but flexibility is essential. We need someone who can be in the office or out in the field with little notice when projects require it. What You’ll Be Doing: • Assisting with residential and commercial design projects from concept through execution • Creating and modifying AutoCAD drawings including floor plans, elevations, and details • Supporting material, finish, and furniture selections • Helping prepare presentations, proposals, and client-facing documents • Assisting with site visits, measurements, and field coordination • Communicating with vendors, contractors, clientele and the internal team to keep projects moving • Wearing many hats and helping wherever needed (this is a hands-on role) What We’re Looking For: • Junior designer or design assistant with AutoCAD experience (required) • Strong organizational and time management skills • Flexible and adaptable with the ability to pivot quickly • Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team • Willingness to be in the office or on site as needed, sometimes on short notice • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn • Experience with presentation software and design software is a plus What’s in It for You: • Competitive starting pay with room for growth as skills and independence increase • 401(k) with employer match • A supportive, collaborative team environment • Hands-on experience across all phases of design • Opportunities to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility over time • Work on a wide range of exciting and creative projects Not looking for a full-time role?
