Job Description: Junior Design Assistant Our dynamic and distinctive interior design firm is growing rapidly and is looking for a talented, organized, and skilled Junior Design Assistant to join our creative team. This key position plays an important role in the full design process. Thank you in advance for reviewing the list of responsibilities and qualifications: Responsibilities: · Support all design projects from conception and initial sketch through the installation · Develop, edit, and organize CAD drawings · Collaborate with senior designers to develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations for projects · Assist in space planning and layout optimization, ensuring functionality, flow, and aesthetic appeal align with the client's vision and project requirements · Research and source premium materials, finishes, furnishings, and accessories · Participate in client meetings and internal team meetings · Actively participate in installs when needed · Upholds strong and professional relationships with vendors, clients, and team members · Provide extensive and rapid-fire knowledge of vendors and resources to the team · Be wildly creative and push the boundaries! · Work collaboratively with fellow designers and other team members to brainstorm ideas, troubleshoot challenges, and contribute to a positive and innovative studio environment Qualifications: · Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Design or related field · At two years of professional design experience preferred · Formulates designs which are practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes · Experienced in CAD · Ability to manage and work on multiple projects at one time · Meets required deadlines · Verse in furniture systems and specifications · Knowledgeable regarding materials · Skilled in developing design concepts · Excellent time management, communication, collaboration · Strong independent creator and worker · Must be able to provide work examples and/or a portfolio if applying for position Other and Compensation: Hours: Mostly Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Location of position: Carmel, IN Wage: $45k - $55k depending on experience Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance available Other Benefits: 401K (after one full year) PTO: To be discussed with owner AND major holidays off Interested in applying for this position?
