About this role
Woodside Staffing Solutions & Consulting is seeking a Junior Interior Designer to support the Office of Logistics and Support with office design and move services. The role involves assisting in project planning, maintaining communication with stakeholders, and leading design projects for professional office spaces.
Responsibilities
• Assist the Director and Manager with developing a detailed project plan for project-based activities
• Lead projects and office staff with design, modular furniture layouts, office renovations, project development, and updating schedules
• Maintain appropriate communications with a variety of stakeholders and customers at the Client site, ensuring complete satisfaction of all aspects of the project
• Serve as a main point of contact for member offices participating in the DC moves congressional transition
Skills
• Bachelor's degree in interior design, architecture, or a related field (such as graphic art) with 2 years of work experience
• Experience in drafting, floor plan layout and design, using industry standard practices in interior design with familiarity of all five phases of design from schematic to construction
• Proficient in developing professional digital presentations, project documentation, requirement gathering, document uploads, design scheme file organization, conducting field surveys, project close-out, and effective communication of project requirements to clients
• Software Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Acrobat Creative Cloud Suite (Acrobat and Photoshop Illustrator and/or InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite (Office 365 Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), and ability to assimilate other applications for the purpose of creating digital presentations and furniture plans
• Experience in assisting with quote requests, inspection, furniture deliveries, and effective vendor communication on order schedule, quality, and accuracy
• Ability to manage the execution of projects, which involves monitoring the movements of furniture, provide clear guidance on finishes, assist in condition assessment, and supervise the identification and placement of furniture during the delivery and installation process
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with high-profile customers (Members of Congress and staff) and maintain confidentiality
• The ability to effectively communicate in English through strong oral and written skills
• Detail oriented and well organized with the ability to multi-task, in a high paced environment
• Ability to work independently
• Must successfully complete a background check
