Jr. Designer

Katharine Jessica Interior Design (KJID) is currently seeking a Junior Designer to work directly with Principal and Sr. Designer in all areas of Residential Interior Design. This position requires an individual who is highly organized, detail oriented, self-starter who thrives in a busy work environment. This individual needs to exhibit the ability to be open and flexible towards taking on multiple responsibilities in an ever-changing deadline driven environment. We are seeking a Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to assisting Designers with all aspects of Residential Design & Project Management including: o Attend, document and distribute meeting minutes for Client and/or Site meetings. o Organize and track of all Client & Sub-Contractor communication. o Assist Designers with development and management of estimated budgets and spreadsheets. o Research / source product & materials. o Assist Designers with detailed Project Documentation (including measurements of existing site conditions and taking/filing of photos, etc.) o Assist Designers with development and drafting of AutoCAD Plans, Elevations, and Renderings (proficiency in Adobe Suite & Sketchup preferred). o Assist Designers with all Client presentations (gathering of specified samples, materials and pricing for design presentations, etc.) o Assist Team with creating Client Proposals (including order specification sheets, research and pricing of all proposed product, etc.) * knowledge of Ivy software a plus* o Detailed, organized, thorough and timely communication with Vendors, Subcontractors, Clients, etc. o Assist with order placement and tracking. o Assist Team with installations and project punch lists, etc. o Assist Designers with Time Tracking and Client Billing.
