Job Captain

We are currently experiencing exciting growth and seek a Job Captain to play a pivotal role in our Sacramento studio. Essential Function: Architectural planning as it relates to setting up a project from the Schematic Design Phase, architectural CAD drafting, detailing, construction materials, specifications, building codes / approvals process and construction. Coordinate the work of major consultants and interpret their plans and specifications. This position will have direct interaction with clients on both architectural or interiors projects. Responsibilities:  Preparation of design development and construction documents under the guidance of a Project Manager.  Assist in investigation and design of projects.  Prepare cartoon working drawing set during Schematic Design phase in coordination with project plan.  Coordinate with Project Manager / Project Architect and disseminating to project team the project schedule and budget.  Select the method of drawing presentation during Schematic Design / Design Development to provide for maximum reuse of documents. Education / Certification / Experience Requirement:  Experience in the production of working drawings / architectural design.  5 or more years of experience in coordinating project resources, including project consultants.  Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Sketch Up.  Substantial experience in design development and detailing on a wide variety of project types.  Commitment to design excellence and document quality.  Ability to excel in a creative and collaborative studio environment.  Desire to be part of a firm whose mission is to create inspired human environments.
