About this role

Make an outsized impact at a fast‑growing, vertically integrated interior‑finishes partner serving large multi‑family projects. At Frontier Door & Cabinet, we own the supply chain end‑to‑end to deliver scale, speed, and consistency across cabinets, millwork, doors, door hardware, bath hardware, and cabinet hardware. Why this role rocks You’ll be the go-to connection between overseas factories (including China, Mexico, India, and other international manufacturing regions) and our U.S. operations, orchestrating information, inventory, and communication so containers land as expected and projects stay on schedule.Design the growth playbook. In a fast‑growing interior finishes category, you’ll shape the sourcing strategy, vendor mix, and processes that become the national playbook for how we buy, stock, and launch products from international sources.Drive with real autonomy. You’ll work directly with leaders across Operations, Sales, Warehousing, and Accounting, with decision-making power to streamline workflows, fix broken hand‑offs, and improve how imports run day-to-day.What you’ll do Source and manage a curated portfolio of overseas interior‑finishes manufacturers, keeping smart competition and backup options built into every line.Negotiate pricing, MOQs, lead times, and terms that hit margin targets without sacrificing reliability or quality when it matters most.Place, track, and, when needed, expedite POs from production to delivery across multiple U.S. locations, keeping status live and accurate for the teams that rely on it.Own international logistics by booking ocean and air, coordinating with freight forwarders, and making sure customs, documents, and compliance stay frictionless.Protect quality by aligning specs, overseeing factory checks (directly or via third parties), and jumping on defects quickly so issues don’t reach the end customer.Partner closely with Sales, Warehouse, and Accounting to anticipate demand, shape buys, and keep the network protected from stockouts.Continuously tighten the system by refining SOPs, dashboards, and early‑warning signals so risks surface quickly and shipments land on time, every time.What you bring Proven track record importing interior finishes or comparable building materials in a fast‑moving environment.Solid working command of international trade fundamentals, Incoterms, and end‑to‑end global logistics.Ease collaborating with factories in Asia, including navigating time zones, communication styles, and cultural norms.Strong negotiation skills, sharp and concise communication, and obsessive attention to detail.Real curiosity about how products are made and a drive to improve how they move.Strong and reliable attendance on-site to drive collaboration and learn the business.Confident use of Excel plus hands‑on experience with purchasing and inventory management systems.Nice to have Direct experience sourcing from China, Mexico, India, and other key manufacturing regions for building materials, casework, or interior-finish products.Experience coordinating factory audits or third-party QC inspections.Familiarity with customs paperwork, import documentation, and basic compliance.Exposure to dock-scheduling platforms (e.g., Opendock or similar).Spanish skills a plus, especially for partnering with teams and suppliers connected to our El Paso hub.What you’ll get Competitive compensation, meaningful benefits, and real room to grow inside a company that’s scaling fast.A collaborative, entrepreneurial culture where smart ideas get tested quickly and the people closest to the work shape how we operate.QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: The requirements listed above are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
