Role Overview Performs under close guidance of internship supervisor in all aspects of the Interior Design process, including preparation of presentation materials, schematic design, design development, contract documents, renderings and construction administration activities within an established budget, schedule, site and programmatic requirements. A successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to successfully contribute to multiple projects with varying responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. This internship is an in-office position during the Spring 2024 semester. Key Job Functions • General office administrative duties • Schedules and meets with product vendors to update materials library and facilitates in-house meetings with design staff • Performs tasks according to specific direction under close supervision of designers • Executes small tasks as part of larger assignments • Assists in day-to-day coordination efforts required to produce a set of Construction Documents and FF&E Specifications • Assists with Materials Library organization and general maintenance Education and Experience: • Seeking Bachelor/Master's Degree from an accredited Interior Design/Architecture program • Degrees must come from a CIDA-accredited Interior Design program or NAAB-accredited Architecture program • Minimum 0-2 years of experience in hospitality or residential Interior Design • Strong verbal presentation and written communication skills are required • AutoCAD knowledge is required, Photoshop, and InDesign experience is preferred • Knowledge of Sketchup, Microsoft Office, Excel, and Outlook is also desired As Part of the Team, You'll Enjoy: • 401k match with full vesting upon enrollment. • Flexible Alternative Work Week option available to full-time employees. • Well-being benefits including access to Vitality and mental health resources. • Time Off.
