About this role

MAWD (March and White Design) is a global interior design firm of forward-thinking experts based in London, New York, Los Angeles and Dubai, creating spaces for how we live, move, work, and play. Our portfolio of award-winning projects with top architects and clients positions us as leaders in the design industry. Our LA studio is seeking a talented interior designer with a background in multi-family residential development or high-end hospitality. The opportunity is to take ownership of a range of elegantly conceived projects at the highest level. You will work closely with a team of skilled designers and are expected to be 'hands-on' in your approach while taking initiative to complete tasks with a calm and organized manner. The ideal candidate will have strong conceptual design skills and should possess a combination of interior architecture and FF&E knowledge. Ideally, the candidate should have proven experience in the multi-family and hospitality sector, be comfortable working autonomously at times, and possess exceptional attention to detail, and ability to follow projects through to completion. Additional experience in commercial and/or residential design is preferred. Education and Experience: You must have a Bachelor's in Interior Design or Architecture or a similar field, with 5+ years of post-graduate experience. Required Skills: • Ability to create and develop conceptual designs, including the ability to create concept and mood boards and further develop concepts into a full schematic design package • Proven skills in Photoshop, InDesign, AutoCAD. Experience with Sketch-Up and Enscape rendering and strong 3D drawings skills would be advantageous • Proven skills in selecting and specifying FF&E for large scale projects. Experience with spec writing software is beneficial. • Proven delivery (either individually or as part of a team) in producing Design Development drawing sets • Experience in working in all stages of a project from concept to completion • Experience reviewing shop drawings and submittals from various trades • Desire to take ownership of a project and help guide junior team members • Self-motivated, a good team member who can be relied upon to work quickly and efficiently in an organized manner • Self-confident and receptive to constructive feedback • Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual • Exceptional attention to detail • An ability to communicate effectively in client presentations and meetings Responsibilities: • Working accurately to a written or verbal brief • Developing innovative concepts for projects, including space planning, detailed design, selecting materials, and FF&E • Producing, as part of a team, all work stages of a project, including from concept through documentation • Developing detailed drawings and specifications based on approved design concepts • Attending client meetings and presentations • Coordinating with architects, lighting designers, and other consultants Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: Hybrid remote in Beverly Hills, CA 90212
