Role Description We seek an Intermediate Interior Designer who is interested in working cross-functionally in both interior design and architecture (but mostly interior design) who can perform at a level typically associated with 3-5 years of interior design office experience. A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Interior Design and previous US office work experience are required. We're looking for the following: • Design excellence in the modernist idiom. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with experience managing vendor and contractor relations. • Working knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Observation, Procurement, and Installation. • Experience selecting and specifying furnishings, lighting, hardware, window coverings, materials and finishes. • Experience developing design documents, drawings, elevations, details, furniture plans, client presentations, 2D/3D renderings, and preparing material palettes to demonstrate design ideas. • Ability to effectively work cross-functionally with the in-house architectural team • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to perform site measurements, construction site visits, respond to RFIs, review shop drawings and control samples, and participate in furniture installations • Experience creating construction drawings, specifications, and schedules • ArchiCAD knowledge is desired but not required, but previous 3D CAD modeling (BIM) experience in some software is required. You will participate in our team-oriented design and production process under the supervision of various senior staff members including primarily under our Lead Interior Designer, in our holistic interior/architectural designs.
