About the position
The Interior Technician Level 1 position at Premier Aviation Services involves performing essential maintenance and refurbishment tasks on aircraft interiors. This role is critical to ensuring that all aircraft inducted into the Premier MRO in Dayton, Ohio, meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The technician will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the removal and installation of interior components, troubleshooting issues related to aircraft furnishings, and ensuring compliance with FAA regulations. The work environment includes both hangar and shop settings, as well as outdoor airport ramp areas, requiring flexibility and adaptability from the technician. Normal working hours are expected, but overtime, particularly on nights and weekends, is common in this position. The technician will report directly to the Interior Manager and will be expected to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols. In this role, the technician will utilize their advanced knowledge of interior removal and installation processes to perform tasks such as stripping aircraft interior components to their base parts and recovering them according to customer specifications. The technician will not only focus on the refurbishment of seats, headliners, and side panels but will also be involved in the installation of sound-proofing mechanisms, lighting, and other interior components. A strong emphasis will be placed on ensuring airworthiness by researching maintenance records and adhering to FAA directives and service bulletins. The technician will also be responsible for maintaining proper storage and accountability of hardware and removed items, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
• Perform all aircraft interior maintenance and refurbishment as assigned.

• Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the interior removal and installation processes.
,
• Complete interior removal and reinstallation (R&R) with minimal supervision.
,
• Inspect, remove, protect, and install aircraft interior parts and associated components.
,
• Assist in the R&R of cabinets, doors, bulkheads, tray tables, and lavatories.
,
• Ensure airworthiness by researching maintenance records and adhering to FAA regulations.
,
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment.
,
• Report any unsafe conditions to management.
,
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
• Must speak, read, and write American English fluently to meet FAA regulations.
,
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
,
• Organizational and schedule planning capabilities are essential.
,
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Corridor software is preferred.
,
• Minimum of 1-3 years of aircraft interior experience is required.
,
• Strong troubleshooting and time management skills for corporate MRO interior refurbishment are preferred.

• Experience working with the FAA and comprehensive knowledge of 14 CFR 91 & 135 is necessary.

• Ability to work without constant supervision is essential.

• Must be a team player and work to meet team goals and directions.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with aircraft seat pattern development and seat cover design.

• Knowledge of curtain and other material and leather sewing techniques.

• Experience as an aircraft cabinet and component finisher/repair specialist.
