We are currently seeking a highly skilled Interior Space Design Leader to join our team in San Diego, CA. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for leading the design, detailing, and construction management of interior spaces that deliver value-driven solutions to our clients.
This role requires close coordination with architecture, engineering, and consulting teams to integrate interiors with building systems seamlessly. A collaborative approach and strong client focus are essential.
Main Responsibilities:
• Develop Innovative Designs: Create innovative, value-oriented design concepts for interior spaces in commercial settings, incorporating a keen sense of materials, space planning, and lighting.
• Project Oversight: Lead the project lifecycle from concept through completion, ensuring client satisfaction, design quality, and adherence to schedules and budgets.
• Technical Detailing & Code Compliance: Ensure designs meet relevant codes and standards, with a focus on interior detailing and material selection that enhances durability and aesthetic value.
• Client & Team Communication: Work closely with clients to understand their goals, prioritize value in design solutions, and communicate effectively with contractors and consultants.
• Documentation & Visualization: Prepare high-quality design documents, including 3D renderings, technical drawings, and hand sketches, to convey design intent clearly.
• Construction Administration: Conduct regular site visits to monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to design intent, specifications, and client expectations.
Qualifications:
• B.Arch or B.A. in Interior Design: Required education background.
• Minimum 5 Years' Experience: In commercial interiors, emphasizing designs that balance functionality, aesthetics, and value.
• Licensed Interior Designer: CID or NCIDQ preferred.
• Strong Communication & Organizational Skills: Effective in managing timelines and building positive client relationships.
• Proficiency in Building Codes: Commercial interior standards and construction materials.
• Proficient in Software Tools: Adobe Suite, Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam Studio, and Microsoft Office.
