About this role
Interior Project Managers may be responsible for projects from project inception to Construction Administration. They must have the ability to work independently and also lead a team as the project requires. They are motivated problem solvers who take pride in producing exceptional documents. They will have the support of the Studio Director to ensure PDI is meeting the goals and design intent of our Client’s needs and Project demands. Project Managers coordinate directly with all engineers and consultants to keep the project moving forward efficiently, on schedule, and meet our quality standards.
As a member of our team, you will:
Manage design and construction document development
Review interior documents
Review and coordinate consulting engineering drawings
Develop space plans
Develop architectural and millwork details
Lead the selection of interior finish materials
Lead Client programming sessions
Lead meetings with Clients and consultants
Develop furniture plans and specifications
Oversee field verification
Mentor and lead staff
The following qualifications are preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design from an accredited design school
Minimum (7) seven years of experience in commercial interior architecture & design
Extensive knowledge of AutoCAD, Excel, Word, and Outlook
Basic knowledge of Revit, Photoshop, Sketch-Up, and Podium
Excellent communication skills
Excellent presentation and graphic skills
Extensive knowledge of lighting, furniture, and equipment,
Extensive knowledge of building systems, building codes ADA
Extensive knowledge of the construction administration process
Extensive knowledge of finish materials and detailing
Working knowledge of budgetary requirements
Proven ability to manage projects within budgetary constraints
Proposal writing
