Interior Finish Designer

The ideal candidate will be highly organized and detailed plus possess excellent creative thinking skills and be able to create designs based on conversations with a client. The candidate should be confident communicating regularly with the client in order to assess their needs and be able to adjust a given approach based on feedback. The candidate should have vast knowledge of finishes and... fixtures for residential design. The candidate should be comfortable with feedback from other team members. All projects and design studio are on the NE side of Houston and require in-office work days periodically throughout the week. Responsibilities • Create attractive designs and layouts for various projects • Meet with client in order to understand the client's objectives and desires • Communicate effectively with client, vendors and team in order to address client's needs • Specify all interior finishes, color boards and fill in specification sheet for CAD designer to bring the project to life. • * Qualifications • Strong creative and communication skills working in a team • Highly detailed and organized • Degree in Interior Design is a huge plus • Experience in the industry • Demonstrated ability to execute • Experience with Canva is a plus • Experience with the Microsoft Suites is a plus • Helpful if designer lives on the north/northeast side of Houston We are a small design firm located in Kingwood, TX. We work with a lot of local contractors and directly with clients on everything from small refreshes, to full gut renovations, to decorating rooms or entire homes, designing spec homes, designing new home construction from the start with an architect, etc
