Position: Interior Designer
We are looking for an organized, proactive, and efficient Interior Designer to join our client's team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the design team, sales team, and project managers to handle design, space planning, and specification of systems furniture for various projects.
Salary: $60,000 - $75,000
Job Type: Direct Hire
Location: On-site in Tampa, FL
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a professional liaison with clients during planning meetings
Lead activities including space planning, furniture selection, layout design, product pricing, and the selection of finishes
Create as-built drawings, block plans, test-fits, and detailed working drawings for specification and installation
Coordinate and review project designs and construction plans, ensuring consistency with project specifications
Validate plans against construction, electrical, and A&D drawing sets, as well as physical build-out requirements
Collaborate with the project team on furniture layout, design, and space planning
Prepare and present design materials, including renderings and visual presentations
Develop and manage project specifications, ensuring accuracy and readiness for order entry, and handle any changes or revisions
Work closely with installers and project management teams to ensure the final installation meets client specifications
Track design hours for specific projects to support job costing efforts
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Construction, or Interior Architecture
NCIDQ certification (PMP certification is a plus)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and CET (Cap Designer 2020 knowledge is a plus)
Exceptional customer service and team communication skills
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage the details of each project
Excellent multitasking and prioritization abilities
Solid understanding of mathematical concepts and their application to design
