BHDP’s Integrated Industrial Design (IID) Market, which serves clients possessing manufacturing, warehousing, and material distribution operations, is currently experiencing significant growth. In support of this growth, BHDP is currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Interior Designer.
Your Role + The Opportunity
As an Interior Designer, you will join the firm at our Charlotte, NC office and be responsible for collaborating with the project team to design and prepare interior design drawings for multiple projects within our Integrated Industrial Design (IID) market. Your work will require you to be proficient in technical knowledge, interior design skills, and architectural design and continue to advance your skill set. This role provides the opportunity to pursue professional growth while contributing to one of the Midwest’s largest Architectural design firms.
The Role Priorities:
• Assist the project team to produce quality interior design work in all project phases.
• Expertise in creating big ideas and innovative thinking.
• Collaborate with other Interior Designers and Managers in supporting the team and the client on larger projects.
• Perform architectural assignments with instruction from the Project Architect or Project Manager regarding the expected results.
• Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills, with the ability to complete projects on time, with precision and attention to detail.
• Develop an understanding of quality management and effective project work in accordance with quality management procedures.
• Promote a workplace culture that is consistent with the BHDP Collective Ambition.
Skills + Qualifications:
• A professional, accredited degree in Interior Design along with at least 1-5 years’ experience
• Must have, or be working toward, NCIDQ certification
• Proficient knowledge in advanced technology (e.g., Revit, Sketch-Up, Rhino)
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of an effective team, assisting and supporting team members.
• The ability to be inspired while balancing technical skills and creative aptitude
