Schmidt Associates is looking for an Interior Design/Sr Interior Designer to join our Interiors team! The ideal candidates will provide design coordination and accurate interior building design. They will implement and practice interior industry standards within the firm’s design process. They are responsible to the Project Manager to achieve the Project Objectives and strengthen Client Relationships. Must be consistently aware & communicating Project Performance, Schedule, and Cost. Interior Design/Sr Interior Designer Responsibilities • The Interior Designer will provide accurate and efficient interior building design, while implementing and practicing interior design industry standards in the firm's design process. • This individual will be a proactive member of the project team. • This position requires a strong competency in interior design practices. • Skills in implementation of quality procedures are necessary. • The ability to coordinate and integrate interior design into the firm's facility design process is essential. • Must be able to meet project deliverables and deadlines on multiple projects while coordinating with all disciplines. • Select, design and implement furniture and equipment packages for public and private bidding, including finishes, budget and specifications. Technology/Software • AutoDesk -REVIT - Building Information Modeling (BIM) • MS Excel Experience/Education • An Interior Design degree from a CIDA accredited program. • Previous internship experience in institutional and corporate design. • Revit & Enscape skills required, Photoshop, Powerpoint and MS Office. • 8+ years of experience
