Interior Designer/Sales Associate

Here at Pala Brothers Furniture We are seeking an Interior Designer to become a part of our team! You will plan, design and furnish the interiors of residential homes and interact with clients in fast paced, sales environment • *Ideal candidate has retail sales experience** • *This is a high-end furniture store... Responsibilities: • Formulate designs that are aesthetic and conducive to the client • Calculate the specifications and cost of materials for construction • Select design components to create a unique and purposeful space • Maintain client, vendor, and consultant relationships • Prepare sketches and documentation for client presentation • Retail Sales role • Interact with clients face to face, consulting on their needs Qualifications: • Previous experience in interior design or other related fields • Familiarity with Photoshop, AutoCad, or other design software • Deadline and detail-oriented • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • About Pala Brothers Furniture: In 1953, the Pala brothers ventured into the furniture business with a small brick building on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, Delaware. Their roots were in the bar and restaurant business. The four brothers worked hard, focusing on the customer and always striving to give the best in customer service and pricing. That same focus can be seen today over 50 years later • Our ideal candidate is an experienced interior designer, or retail salesperson, who is friendly, outgoing and professional. Candidates should be achievement driven, goal-oriented team players that are flexible and happy to work with the general public on a daily basis. An interior design degree, previous design experience or accreditation is a plus but not a requirement for this position. Substantial product training will be provided.
